TSA Thrift Shop Donates to Teachers Against Poverty (TAP) Renfrew

About Teachers Against Poverty Renfrew: TAP is a small group of educators in Renfrew that started in 2021 to address various socioeconomic inequities that students and their families face. The TAP Renfrew team felt inspired by TAP Arnprior’s support and success and wanted to bring a similar vision to life in Renfrew. TAP’s catchment area includes both the Renfrew County Public and Catholic school boards with schools in Calabogie, Renfrew, and Douglas. TAP is a non-profit group that aims to assist families of school-aged children with quarterly support, often around financial straining times of year including holidays and back to school, in addition to other emergency supports upon request and where funds permit.
TAP relies on the generous donations of local donors, charities, and organizations as well as TAP-lead fundraising initiatives to meet this growing demand. TAP Renfrew is beyond grateful for the incredible donation from Trinity St. Andrew’s Thrift Shop, as it will help to support local families in a time of constantly increasing costs of living expenses that directly impact the lives of students and their families. TSA Thrift Shop (located at the corner of Plaunt and Quarry) sells various gently loved items including clothing, books, and small household goods at affordable prices. TSA Thrift Shop store hours for shopping are Thursdays 11AM to 5PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. Donations of goods may be made when the Shop is open for business, in addition to Mondays and Wednesdays from 9AM to 2PM.
