TSA Thrift Shop Supports Renfrew & District Food Bank

On January 29, 2024 Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church’s (TSA) Thrift Shop volunteer Gladys Curry presented a cheque for $2965 to Carol Little, the Vice President of the Board at the Renfrew & District Food Bank.   Each quarter a portion of the net sales of the Thrift Shop is given back to a local not for profit community agency.

Carol explained that this donation will go a long way to helping ensure that our clients have healthy and nutritious food.  They have seen recent increases in usage due to the rise in food prices. You too can support their work with donations of food or money. If anyone would like to donate you can e-transfer to donations@renfrewfoodbank.ca  The money raised goes a bit further due to the reduced prices they receive from many sources. These days they are seeing more seniors and bigger families. Through our local school, about 100 students in need receive food for the weekend.  You also could help by becoming a volunteer. Your donation truly makes a difference.

You can stay up to date with the Food Bank on Valley Heritage Radio 98.7 & MYFM 96.1 Community Page, at renfrewfoodbank.ca or follow them on Facebook.
