TSA Council Meeting June 16, 2026
An update on our meeting and activities since then.
- Mary Elizabth Plaunt Scholarship – of $1500 was presented to Delaney Stokes at the June 25 RCI Graduation. Delaney is heading to Carleton University to do a Child & Youth studies degree before heading to Teachers’ College. The scholarship is offered by TSA in memory of Mary Elizabeth Plaunt who graduated from RCI, taught primary grades throughout her 35-year career and was a major donor to TSA. Her great grandfather donated the land on which TSA is built.
- Camp Lau-Ren – was presented with a cheque for $4597.50 by our Plant Sale Committee from the proceeds of this year’s Plant Sale. Thanks to the organizers, those who donated plants and those who bought plants. Well done!!
- Community Luncheon – held June 16 served about 80 guests and 20+ volunteers a delicious stir fry and strawberry dessert. Thanks to all who organized, welcomed, cooked, served and cleaned up. Next is September 15.
- Website upgrade – upgrade of our online presence is progressing well. An update was provided at the recent Church Hall meeting.
- Council Team Building & Planning – we met again June 22 to discuss input received at our Church Hall meeting. Many great ideas and much constructive feedback to build into our plans for the next year(s). We will share when we have done more planning.
- Church Hall Meeting, June 14 – was well attended – about 40 in attendance. A TSA Newsletter was recently sent out providing highlights.
- Worship & Music (W&M) – We will have two worship series this summer created by Rev. Eric – “The Gospel According to Disney” and “The Gospel According to Munsch”. A “Welcome Back Sunday” is being planned for September. Rainbow Worship (and last until September) was held June 14. TSA had a table at the Renfrew Pride Picnic displaying our PRIDE pompom banner, our “Be” banner and giving away hand crafted hearts.
