Invitation to the Table
One: The Lord be with you.
All: And also with you.
One: Shall we lift our hearts to God?
All: We lift our hearts with songs of praise.
One: The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it.
All: We celebrate the gift of this good land which we call our home.
God of all creation, from the beginning you have made this world in love.
You have created us to live in love.
We see your glory in the flowers of summer, in the power of thunder storms,
in the majesty of rolling hills and the rivers that flow past us.
All of life is sustained by your divine breath.
We give thanks that abundant life is made known to us and present within us in Christ Jesus
to reconcile all creation to life, and life everlasting.
By Christ and with Christ and in Christ, the web of your love is made whole,
and we are part of your good creation.
We praise you for the gift of Christ Jesus .
He spoke your truth.
He proclaimed your forgiveness.
He shared your healing.
He lived your loving kindness.
We seek to share in his spirit.
Jesus faced the forces which cause us death.
His spirit continued to shine
even when he suffered.
In his dying and rising we find the way to live authentic lives.
We seek to share in his life.
Jesus shared his example with many
who travelled the globe proclaiming your love.
They came to us, to share their tale
to move us, and to offer us hope.
Therefore, as we gather together to eat this bread and to drink from this cup,
we are proclaiming the way of Christ
We share in his spirit, his life, his witness.
We draw close to you O God.
Come then, life-giving Spirit of our God,
be with us now and always.
Make us one body with Christ.
May we labour with creation
to share your justice, forgiveness and love
with all the children of God.
Words of Institution
Though we are scattered physically, we are all united in the one body of Christ.
Please raise your bread with me, and repeat after me.
This is the body of Christ, broken for us all.
This is the bread of life.
May God bless this food, to feed and strengthen us all.
Take and eat, the gifts of God, given for you.
May God bless you and feed you always.
Now please raise your cup, and repeat after me:
This is the blood of Christ, shed for us all.
This is the cup of blessing, to heal me in body, mind and spirit.
May God bless us all as we share in this feast together.
Take and drink, for God’s Spirit is given to you.
